Or gone one step further, and offered to cook dinner for her and her mates after a day at the beach only to realise you have nothing in the fridge or know what to cook? I know I have. Over the years, my mates and I have shared stories and given each other ideas and ‘insider tips’ on how to impress a girl through the wonders of cooking,” say’s Bobby Jewell, The Lad’s Chef.

Bobby Jewell moved to Australia from his home in Cambridge, north of London, on a backpacking trip when he was only 21 years old. Instantly falling in love with Australia’s beer and surf, he made Australia his new home. These days the qualified chef uses his love of throwing a great party five nights a week as the owner of Sydney’s only fancy dress restaurant, THARENS in Sydney’s Potts Point.
