Casey Donovan heads to London with The Sapphires

The Sapphires, a heart-lifting, foot-stomping Indigenous musical thatfeatures a live band and the some of the soul hits that defined ageneration, will find a new audience at the Barbican in London. It willform part of their 2011 Bite program which presents new work thatcombines dance, theatre and music in unexpected ways, and will runfrom 2-12 March 2011.In 2010 The Sapphires toured around Australia, and went to Korea toform part of the Daegu International Music Festival. Both nationallyand in Korea, the production received an enthusiastic response fromaudiences and critics, with Casey Donovan winning the BestSupporting Actress gong at the Korean festival awards.

Before heading to London, Australia’s Big, Beautiful & Sexy showgirl, Casey Donovan, continues to shine as she gears up for the release of her second single Last Regret on November 7.

Last Regret, which is more ‘rock’ than her Big, Beautiful & Sexy anthem, showcases another side of the songstresses vocals and proves that she really can sing anything. From the opening guitar to the powerful chorus, Casey nails the song proving that real strong sexy rock chick vocals do still exist in Australian music!

Casey continues her ongoing Big, Beautiful & Sexy Australian tour, which has already seen her perform to sell out crowds at some of the country’s most coveted venues and participate in events such as Adelaide Festival and Brisbane Festival. She continues to add more dates throughout 2010 and into 2011 as the excitement about her new music spreads. The coming months will not only see Casey touring on her solo project, but also shining in support slots for Toni Childs in NSW.
