CASEY CONWAY IS THE NEW FACE OF SLUGGERS’ SUMMER CAMPAIGN

Aussie model Casey Conway brings the heat to the new campaign for swimwear label Sluggers and it is scorching. Showing off his amazingly buffed body, the Queenslander is the new face and body for Sluggers – men’s bathers which are cleverly designed to eliminate the dreaded “saggy man bum”.

Sluggers founder Adam Butler says they scouted Casey on Instagram and knew he would be perfect for their summer campaign. “Just look at him – Casey is the embodiment of our brand,” says Adam. “He’s a confident, fun, healthy bloke who’s great to be around. Plus after the shoot he left his Sluggers on and went for beers with his mates. That’s our kind of guy!”

The towering 30-year-old Indigenous model and youth development advocate is no stranger to the spotlight. Previously he played for the Sydney Roosters after being discovered as a schoolboy playing rugby league in Yeppoon by former game great Arthur Beetson. However after enduring six operations in two years, including a major shoulder procedure, Casey was forced to retire prematurely at age 22 due to injury.

However as luck would have it, shortly afterwards he was discovered again – this time by a modelling talent scout whilst walking down the street in Sydney’s Paddington. Since that fateful meeting, Casey has gone on to a successful modelling career.

His ripped physique and easy-going manner made him a natural choice for Sluggers bathers which are “tight in the back and loose in the front” making them a flattering choice for any man at the beach or pool this summer.

“The Sluggers guy is just a normal bloke who doesn’t want to make a statement about what he is wearing, he wants to be totally comfortable and to feel awesome,” says Adam. “When I was designing the summer range I kept picturing this confident guy on the beach wearing Sluggers with a lairy print. Once we were on location, Casey put a pair on and just broke into his massive grin! I knew we had the right guy.”
