Storytelling, soft power and the craft of public diplomacy

Marcus Corowa played a key role in the launch of the Griffith Asia Institute’s Roundtable on Soft Power and Public Diplomacy in the Indo-Pacific in Brisbane last month. The event, co-hosted by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and the Korea Foundation brought together diplomats, academics, policy-makers and influencers to explore new models of soft power and developments in public diplomacy practice in the region. Marcus delivered a keynote speech on the importance of music and the arts in promoting and preserving cultural identity, before performing in a duo with percussionist, Dimple Bani.
