Luke Antony’s music video to his debut single “Separate Ways” will screen at CLIPPED Music Video Festival. CLIPPED promotes and celebrates the best established and up-and coming creatives in the film and music industry, and is coming to the National Film and Sound Archive of Australia (NFSA) Canberra for one night only on Friday the 30th September.
CLIPPED ran in conjunction with Vivid Sydney earlier this year and is heading to Canberra armed with some of the festival’s best material including screenings of high-calibre music videos, live music, VJs, DJs and discussions with directors, industry experts and artists.
The exclusive event will be partnering with the NFSA and MTV to showcase Australia’s first screening of 35mm print of Radiohead’s music video for ‘Daydreaming’, directed by Paul Thomas Anderson (Boogie Nights, There Will Be Blood, Inherent Vice).
CLIPPED is quickly establishing itself as Australia’s only uniquely dedicated inaugural Music Video Festival, that is solely focused on promoting the art-form. This year’s Vivid Ideas event included a music video competition, an exhibition, award ceremonies, discussion panels, key speakers and special International guests Nigel Dick (US – Oasis, Britney Spears, Tears For Fears) & David Wilson (UK – Tame Impala, Metronomy, Arcade Fire)
Hosted at the NFSA, the night is a feast for all inspired by film, music and the arts. Clipped will be headlined by a special yet-to-be announced artist in a real-time electronic video collaboration. More details to be announced.
