Iconic Indigenous entertainer, Christine Anu has opened up with National Indigenous Times ahead of her In Conversation at the National Film and Sound Archive on the 2 June. Anu spoke about her humble beginnings in the Torres Strait Islands, domestic violence and the limited opportunities for women.
Last year ‘Island Home’ was added to the National Film and Sound Archive’s Sounds of Australia Registry. Christine will take to the stage at the National Film and Sound Archive in Canberra for an evening of music, memories and conversation on June 2 as part of National Reconciliation Week. Tickets are $35 and available online.
