Asha Dahya is a TV host and Blogger well loved with young Australian audiences. In the past 10 years, the accomplished 29-year-old presenter has been seen on some of the world’s biggest networks. Starting out in Brisbane after completing a Bachelor of Arts at Griffith University, she spent the first five years of her career on the Nine Network Australia, MTV, Fox8, Fashion TV and Sony Music TV. Her big break came at the age of 19 hosting national daily kids show Hot Source on the Nine Network in 2003.
Asha was nominated for Fave Female Personality at the 2006 ASTRA awards, proving her versatility and popularity amongst industry peers. She relocated to Los Angeles in February of 2008 and, after a short 4 months of doing the audition rounds, landed a major hosting role on popular US Nickelodeon franchise My Family’s Got Guts with E! and Extra reporter Ben Lyons. Whilst in the United States she has hosted, produced and written content for Nickelodeon, ABC, Myspace.com, MSN.com, TV Guide Network, Guthy Renker, Mahalo.com, The CW Network, The Food Network, Spike TV and many more.
Most notably Asha was an Associate Producer for all the photo shoots on America’s Next Top Model cycles 15, 17, 18 and 19. She travelled around the US and oversaw many elements on the show working with Creator and Host Tyra Banks, Publicity and Fashion Maven Kelly Cutrone, and many other celebrities.
As a Producer she is regularly called upon by various networks because of her versatility.
Asha is passionate about pop culture, lifestyle, and entertainment, specifically in relation to young women.
She is Indian by descent, was born in the UK, raised in Australia and currently resides in Los Angeles. This makes her the perfect representative for the diverse Australian cultural landscape.
